Foulad: Various opportunities offered to Israeli tourists in Bahrain

Dr. Ali Foulad, advisor to the BTEA met with the media delegation accompanying Israeli FM on his first visit to Bahrain, in a round table organised by the NCC.


Dr. Ali Foulad, advisor to the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, confirmed that strengthening cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Israel will positively affect the development of the tourism sector in both countries.

This came during a round table meeting organized by the National Communication Centre, in which he met with the visiting media delegation accompanying Mr. Yair Lapid, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel on his first visit to Bahrain. He briefed the them on the authority’s role and diverse scene offered to Israeli tourists in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority advisor elaborated on BTEA’s most prominent ongoing and future projects, noting that the authority has developed a plan to stimulate tourism in Bahrain, especially in post COVID-19 recovery period.

He pointed out that the launch of the first commercial flight from Bahrain International Airport to Tel Aviv Airport is an important step in strengthening relations between the two countries within the framework of Abraham Accords, which will achieve other steps of cooperation in many areas.

Foulad highlighted that BTEA is in constant coordination with well-known travel and tourism agencies to prepare tourism plans for visitors from different countries.

He said Bahrain has the advantage of being a diverse and pluralistic country that would attract tourists from different countries.

Dr. Foulad added that work is underway to develop new touristic areas that will be announced soon. He also said that BTEA finalised its plan to organize major touristic events.

BTEA’s advisor also reviewed the latest developments in the tourism sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the efforts made to strengthen this field and help it improve services in order to keep up Bahrain’s reputation as a destination for tourists from the region and the world.

He praised the steps taken by both Bahrain and Israel to develop bilateral relations in this regard, saying that he looks forward to more cooperation paving the way for investment in this vital sector.
